Steamer Trunk, Hander Woodworking
This steamer trunk was well used, as most are that arrive at Hander Woodworking.  It had remains of an olive drab, army green/brown canvas on the outside.  Accompanying the tattered canvas were rust spots, missing and decaying leather, and that unmistakable smell of all old trunks.  The canvas needed replacing and the client wished to use the trunk for display in his house, so rather than returning to the drab green, Hander Woodworking faux painted leather on the canvas and as the picture shows, the finished trunk offered a very handsome piece of furniture for the client's home.
